What materials are your jewellery pieces made of?

Our jewellery is crafted from a variety of high-quality materials, including 18 carat yellow gold, rose gold or white gold and ethically sourced diamonds. Each product description provides details on the specific materials used including the carat and diamond weight.

18 carat gold is a valuable type of gold used in jewellery as it consists of 75% pure gold (also known as 24 carat gold) and 25% other metals, usually a combination of copper, silver, and zinc. This alloy is created to increase the durability and strength of the gold, making it suitable for crafting intricate and detailed jewellery pieces.

The higher the carat of gold, the brighter the colour of the gold.

How should I care for my jewellery to maintain its luster?

We recommend cleaning your jewellery regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals, and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Are your diamonds ethically sourced?

Yes, we are committed to ethical sourcing practices. We work with reputable suppliers who adhere to ethical and sustainable standards in the sourcing of gemstones, metals and diamonds.

What is a GIA Certificate?

A GIA certificate, also known as a GIA diamond grading report, is a document issued by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), which is a highly respected and widely recognised gemological laboratory. The GIA is a non-profit organisation that is known for its expertise in the field of gemology, and it is particularly renowned for its diamond grading and gemstone identification services.

Here's what you can typically find in a GIA certificate for a diamond:

(1) Grading Information: The GIA certificate provides detailed information about the diamond's characteristics, including its 4Cs: Carat Weight, Cut, Colour, and Clarity. These factors are crucial in determining a diamond's quality and value.

(2) Shape and Cut: The certificate specifies the diamond's shape (e.g., round, princess, emerald) and provides information about its cut quality, including proportions, symmetry, and polish. This is important because the cut greatly influences a diamond's sparkle and brilliance.

(3) Colour Grade: The GIA assigns a colour grade to the diamond, which is based on a scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Diamonds with less colour (D to F) are considered more valuable.

(4) Clarity Grade: The certificate assesses the diamond's clarity, which is a measure of internal and external imperfections (inclusions and blemishes). The clarity grade ranges from Flawless (no imperfections visible under 10x magnification) to Included (imperfections visible to the naked eye).

(5) Carat Weight: The GIA certificate states the diamond's exact carat weight, which measures its size.

(6) Measurements: You'll find the diamond's dimensions, such as its diameter, depth, and table size.

(7) Proportions and Symmetry: Information about the diamond's proportions, crown angle, pavilion angle, girdle thickness, culet size, and symmetry are included. These factors influence how the diamond reflects and refracts light.

(8) Fluorescence: If the diamond exhibits fluorescence (a reaction to ultraviolet light), the certificate will mention the strength and colour of the fluorescence.

(9) Additional Comments: The certificate may include any additional observations about the diamond, such as the presence of treatments or notable characteristics.

GIA certificates provide a reliable and standardised assessment of a diamond's quality and are highly respected in the jewellery industry. When purchasing a diamond, especially for an engagement ring or other significant jewellery, having a GIA certificate can give you confidence that you are getting what you pay for in terms of quality and value. It's important to review the certificate carefully when buying a diamond to understand its unique characteristics and ensure it matches your expectations and budget.

What does pre-order mean?

We offer pre-orders to secure a purchase of out of stock, exclusive and pre-season styles. The wait time for pre-order items varies dependant on the piece and can be up to six-eight weeks. Please note, styles can sell out when on pre-order as we limit the quantity available. Please also note there can sometimes be unprecedented delays with receiving stock.

Orders including pre-order items will be shipped once all items are available to dispatch. When we dispatch your order for delivery, you will receive a tracking number via email. Once you have received this, you can check the status of your order and follow the progress of your parcel.
